It may still be 2020, but a new model year is already upon us and with that comes the new Honda Pilot SUV. Honda’s only three-row SUV gets some upgrades for the upcoming year, especially when it comes to standard features. So what can you expect when you visit Honda West for a test drive? Just read below to find out.

Meet the new Honda Pilot Features

While the overall look of the Honda Pilot are not changing from 2020, several things underneath that sleek steel are getting updated for the new model year. The ultra-smooth, efficiency-focused nine-speed automatic transmission is now a standard unit across all Honda Pilot models, giving you an extra cog for efficient highway cruising and closer gear ratios for more consistent acceleration across the speed spectrum.

A new Special Edition model is also headed our way, and is a good compromise between the EX and Touring trim levels. This model will offer black 20-inch wheels for some added style, but convenience is where this model will truly shine. A foot-activated power tailgate now appears here, and inside a wireless charging pad makes it easy to keep your smartphone going for as long as your road trip does.

Finally, all 2021 Honda Pilot models will come with paddle shifters that allow you to take control over the automatic transmission when you need to, while and automatic stop-start system will help you save fuel in stop and go traffic. Dual-zone automatic climate control is also standard across the board, while upper trims will enjoy three-zone climate control with second-row controls.
